The Ritz-Carlton Spa, Los Angeles will add a duo of treatments incorporating activated hemp based products with cannabidiol (CBD) to its menu of therapies. CBD is a non-psychoactive compound derived from hemp that when applied topically can potentially encourage hydration, minimize moisture loss and decrease inflammation. CBD oil has also been shown to help in reducing muscle soreness and tension, as well as calm anxiety and stress.
The Ritz-Carlton Spa, Los Angeles offers the following CBD treatments:
CBD Healing Massage – Begin with a personal consultation to establish specific needs and develop a customized treatment to each guest’s preferences. Every guest will be given the option to start their therapy with a drop of CBD tincture under the tongue to encourage a sense of serenity, followed by a full-body massage using up to five activated hemp based products. (50 minutes | $245 or 80 minutes | $310)
CBD Pedicure – Choose from two CBD infused bath bomb soaks – lavender to promote relaxation and calm, or citrus to boost energy and encourage clearing of the mind. Next, legs and feet will be gently exfoliated with a salt based scrub to gently buff away dryness followed by an application of CBD oil that leaves skin tingling, soft and smooth. Finish with cuticle care and polish of choice. (50 minutes | $120)
Guests will also be able to customize any of the Spa’s signature massage treatments with the addition of a CBD oil application – the enhancement is priced at $40.
